    • THANKS TO EVERYONE who came for our "NO SMOKE - ALL PLAY" night to show their support!!!

    The Tokyo Sports Cafe brought
    out a casual NS crowd mixing with
    the Cafe's regulars who were found
    to be 85% NON-SMOKERS by our poll
    at the door! Surprising? So much
    for the common assumption that
    "everyone smokes in Japan." It's
    simply NOT true!

    A few of us went out for something
    to eat afterwards, "kinenseki" of
    course, to complete a smoke-free
    evening of enjoyment. Please join us
    next time!

    It continues that there are
    more people who want NO SMOKE
    than who want the vile fumes.
    The time has finally arrived in
    our smoky city, Tokyo!

    Next month we will hold another
    SMOKE-FREE evening so be sure to
    join us in Akasaka or at another
    location which will be posted here.

    • NO SMOKE TOKYO is the first
    non-smokers association in Tokyo
    whose agenda is to increase the number
    of non-smoking areas throughout the
    city with special attention to
    increasing smoke-free restaurants,
    bars and other places of relaxation
    and entertainment, because tolerating
    a polluted indoor environment for
    "enjoyment" doesn't make sense.

    Have you returned home from an evening
    out for a "good time" only to face
    yourself with eyes red from the smoke
    pollution and your clothes and hair
    covered with a stinky layer of nicotine?

    If you feel as we do, please join us at
    our events to support a smoke free
    environment for everyone. We are a
    non-profit group of Tokyo residents and
    we welcome your involvement and
    contribution in any way.
